Design Work
As someone who has an interest in learning about the methodology and craft behind design, I prioritize the ability to seek out opportunities that can further refine and build on skills that I have begun to develop a deep passion for. I am devoted to enhancing my knowledge within the field of design and planning.

Shaping Space & Water
Landform Manipulation
2024
This project was instrumental in my grading, drainage, and landform knowledge.

Color & Form Exploration
Visualization II
2023
With this exploration with both form and color, I was able to produce a color scheme for a rendering. This was useful in understanding tone and shade.

Clay Street Remodel
2024
Generated and redrawn general floorplans for specific areas within a single family home.

9th Street Historic Park: The Landscape that Shaped Auraria
History of Landscape Architecture
2023
This project is about the Auraria campus history, highlighting its transformation from a thriving and diverse urban neighborhood into a modern campus. Initially founded in 1858 as a gold mining town, Auraria was home to indigenous tribes, immigrants, and settlers who built a vibrant community rich in cultural and architectural heritage. Landmarks such as the Tivoli Brewery, St. Cajetan’s Church, and the Casa Mayan restaurant symbolize the neighborhood's social and cultural integration. Auraria's displacement due to urban renewal in the 1970s led to the creation of the Auraria Higher Education Campus. While much of the original neighborhood was demolished, efforts were made to preserve parts of its history, such as the 9th Street Historic Park, Emmanuel Chapel, and scholarships honoring displaced residents. The campus design blends urban functionality with historical reverence, creating a space that both respects its past and serves its present academic purpose. The project underscores the importance of preservation to honor the neighborhood's cultural and social significance while acknowledging the sacrifices of its displaced residents. The current campus reflects a layered history that connects past and present through its preserved landmarks and green spaces.

Stereotomic Object Study
Design Studio I
2021
The project began with the exploration of stereotomic principles, focusing on the interplay of mass, void, and the structural potential of materials. Using a dense oak wood, I designed a model that emphasized the balance between solidity and subtraction, inspired by classical architectural forms and modern minimalist aesthetics.
